Ask yourself – do I feel safe doing this task?
Are others around me working safely?

After:

Observe the work area
Reflect on the task –can any better every day improvements be made?

Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems

In September 2023 we achieved ISO 45001:2018, this is the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS).

This standard shows we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, visitors and anyone affected by your organisation’s activities.

SafeContractor | Health & Safety Contractor Accreditation

In 2021 we achieved the Alcumus Safe Contractor Approval, which shows our continuous commitment to health and safety.

Reducing the Working at Height Risk

We have invested in new bottom loading equipment at our Depots and new lorries to reduce the risks involved with our staff having to work at height.

At Mitchell & Webber we see the huge working at height issue for our drivers delivering at customers sites and as such we have been offering free site survey to improve the fuel tank installations with regard to working at height.

The voice of the Liquid Fuels Distribution Industry - UKIFDA

In 2007 we were awarded the UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA) Depot of the Year which in general covered a large element of Health & Safety.
